POLICE TRAINS 654 CONSTABLES AT POLICE COLLEGE OJI-RIVER, ENUGU STATE

Men and officers of the Nigeria Police Force have been charged to always use the knowledge and skills garnered during their training in the discharge of their statutory duties.

The Inspector General of Police (IGP), Mr.Ibrahim Idris, gave the charge in a messageto the the Passing out Parade of the 2018 Police Constables Intake at the Police College Oji-River, Enugu State.

The IGP, represented by the Assistant Inspector General in-charge of Zone Nine Umuahai, Mr. Hosea Karma, said that the training was borne out of the Federal Government’s resolve to reposition the Nigeria Police Force for effective service delivery.

The Acting Commandant Nigeria College Oji River, Mr. Suleiman Yusuf, who explained that the 654 constables were trained in physical training, combat craft, unarmed combat and parade, urged the constables to avoid derailing from the tenets of police duties.

Some of the new constables, including Mr. Michael Lebechukwu and Miss Chinwendu Ihemenandu, promised to use the knowledge acquired to serve the nation.

The event featured presentation of awards to four constables who distinguished themselves during the training.
