POLICE TRAIL FRAUDULENT FINANCIAL INSTITUTIONS IN ENUGU, ADVISE INVESTORS TO BE CAUTIOUS

The Enugu State command of the Nigeria Police Force says its attention has been drawn to the alleged activities of on line fraudsters and fraudulent financial outfits in some part of the state and its environs.

A statement by the Command’s Public Relations Officer, Mr. Ebere Amaraizu, indicates “that these groups of mischief makers have deployed several antics through which their victims are swindled of various sums of money under the guise of investing such money on high interest yielding ventures.”

According to the Mr. Amarizu “they are said to be operating from rented apartments and hire temporal staff to run outfits designed to double money paid by their victims and thereafter abscond with the deposits of their victims to an unknown destination.”

To this end, the command has advised members of the public to always conduct proper background check before venturing into any business.

The command further advises members of the public to report promptly to any nearest police station such dubious business outfits.

Meanwhile, the Commissioner of Police Enugu State, Mr. Sulaiman Balarabe, has directed operatives of the command to fish out the fraudulent financial organizations so that they would be investigated diligently and be brought to book.
