POLICE NABS ATM FRAUDSTER IN ENUGU
The Enugu State Command of the Nigeria Police says it has arrested a suspected ATM fraudster identified as Nwoko Augustine Ogechi.
In a statement, the Police Public Relations Officer, Mr. Ebere Amaraizu, indicated that the suspect was arrested through intelligence at the ATM point of one of the new generation banks at Rangers Avenue Enugu.
According to the statement, the suspect usually deceives his unsuspecting victims by offering to help them make successful withdrawal at ATM booths, thereby tapping their pin numbers and returning a similar but different ATM cards to the victims.
The statement therefore advises members of the public to be wary of such mischief makers who stay at ATM point pretending to render assistance.
