POLICE APPREHEND SUSPECTED KIDNAPPER OF THE MOTHER OF A NIGERIAN INTERNALTIONAL FOOTBALLER
The Police command in Abia State says it has arrested one Chibuike Sunday for alleged kidnap of Onyekaozuru Kalu, mother of Samuel Kalu, a Nigerian footballer with the National team.
Also arrested by the Police is one Felix Nwogugu, a dismissed Police man, who according to the Police, supply criminals with ammunition in Aba.
Parading the suspects and other suspected criminals at the Police Headquarters Umuahia, the Commissioner of Police in the State, Mr. Ene Okon, said that the suspects were arrested at various locations in the state.
He noted that it was through the combined efforts of the IGP respond squad and the surveillance team from Abayi Police Division that led to the rescue of the mother of the Nigerian international footballer.
