ONE LIFE LOST IN AN ACCIDENT ALONG KINGSWAY ROAD ENUGU

An accident which occurred along Kingsway Road, GRA Enugu has claimed one life while two persons sustained various degrees of injury.

One of the passengers, Miss Amaka Orji narrated that they were four in a Tricycle also known as Keke from Akwata going to New Market when the accident happened.

According to her, they pleaded with the Tricycle driver who was on high speed before the accident occurred.

An eyewitness, Mr. James Chimezie said the keke driver was trying to overtake a vehicle when another vehicle in the opposite direction collided with the Keke and it somersaulted.

Also a woman, Mrs. Chinenye Eric stated that the condition of the victims made her to volunteer to convey them to a hospital where one of the passengers was confirmed dead by a medical doctor.

The case had been reported to the police after the Keke driver tried to escape.

Meanwhile, the Police Public Relations Officer of the Enugu State Command, Mr. Ebere Amarizu has confirmed the incident saying that police had commenced investigation.
