ON-GOING CONSTRUCTION OF ANAMBRA INTERNATIONAL CARGO AIRPORT MEETS REGULATORY REQUIREMENTS —NACC

The Director General of Nigeria Civil Aviation Authority, (NCAA), Mr. Nuhu Musa, has given approval to the Anambra International Cargo Airport project.

Mr. Musa, who okayed the structural partern of the project when he led officials of the agency on an inspection tour of the site, explained that it met the regulatory requirements.

The Director General, expressed gladness at the co-ordination plan and construction of work on the airport.

Mr. Nuhu, who observed that the Umueri International Cargo Airport would be one of the best in the country when completed, stressed that it would be of great economic benefit and value within and outside the state.

He however listed the Category 9 Fire Service Station, operation and perimeter wall fencing, the three thousand seven hundred meters runway as well as the 1000 safey runway at both sides with 2 taxi way as some of the outstanding features.

Responding, Governor Willie Obiano appreciated the NCAA team for inspecting the facility and expressed the hope that major works on the airport would be completed by the end of April.

Governor Obiano reiterated his administration’s continued determination to complete all projects embarked upon for better service delivery to the people.

Top government functionaries were present during the inspection tour by the NCAA team.
