OGBODO TAKES OVER AS COMMISSIONER OF POLICE IN EBONYI

A new Commissioner of Police, Mrs. Augustina Ogbodo, has assumed Office in Ebonyi State Police Command.

A statement by the Police Public Relations Officer (PPRO) in the state, Mrs. Onome Onovwakpoyeya, explained that Mrs. Ogbodo took over from Mr. Olayele Falaye, who has bowed out after attending the mandatory retirement age of meritorious service.

It further explained that the new Commissioner of Police hails from Enugu South Local Government Area of Enugu State and holds a Bachelor of Arts Degree in History from the prestigious University of Nigeria Nsukka and also a diploma in Police Science from Police Staff College Jos.

According to the statement, Mrs. Ogbodo enlisted into the Nigeria Police Force on the march 3, 1990 as Cadet Assistant Superintendent of Police and has served meritoriously in various capacities in different geopolitical zones, including Abakaliki where she served as Assistant Commissioner of Police in charge criminal investigation department.
