NIGERIANS TOLD TO GUARD AGAINST ACTIONS THAT CAN UNDERMINE THE RULE OF LAW.

Some residents of Anambra State have described the rule of law as a sacrosanct ingredient in a democracy.

They made their feelings known in separate interviews with Radio Nigeria on the essence of the rule of law.

They argued during separate chats with our Correspondent that rule of law makes the whole difference between autocracy and democracy.

A Legal Practitioner, Mr. Maxwell Udechukwu, argues that relegating the rule of law is an invitation to anarchy.

A member of Anambra State House of Assembly, Doctor Timothy Ifedioranma, speaks in the same direction.

A Professor of Political Science at Chukwuemeka Odumegwu Ojukwu University, Obiajulu Obikeze, also submitted that the rule of law is the life-wire of democracy.

The respondents called on all Nigerians to guard against actions or utterances that can undermine the rule of law.
