NEGOTIATION TO END JUDICIARY WORKERS’ STRIKE IN EBONYI FAILS

Reporter : AMECHI ODO

The National Vice President of Judiciary Staff Union of Nigeria South East Zone, Comrade Mark Ifezue, says striking judiciary workers will continue with their industrial action until Ebonyi State Government meets their demand. Comrade Ifezue stated this following the collapse of a negotiation between the State Government and the leadership of the workers over their industrial action.

Speaking to journalists after a meeting at Staff Development Centre Abakaliki where the Head of Service, Dr. Chamberlain Nwele represented the state government, Comrade Ifezue explained that the strike would continue because the State Government refused to shift ground.

According to him, the judiciary workers are committed to their legitimate demand and would continue to withdraw their services until the Ebonyi State Government was willing and ready to negotiate.
