NAVY TO PROVIDE SECURITY AT OGUTA LAKE

Imo State Government has reiterated its desire to expand facilities at Oguta Lake to provide more security in the area and attract tourists.

Governor Hope Uzodinma made this known when the Flag Officer Commanding Naval Training Command, Lagos Headquarters paid him a courtesy visit at the Government House in Owerri.

He stated that the Nigeria Navy had been supportive in providing security, emphasizing that his administration would continue to encourage the organization at all times.

Earlier, the Flag Officer Commanding Naval Training Command, Lagos Headquarters, Rear Admiral Fredrick Ogu, said he came for familiarization visit at the Navy Training school, Owerrenta and to commend the Governor for all the support given to them in maintaining the security architecture in the zone.

Rear Admiral Ogu, explained that the command was working gallantly to mount proper security at the Oguta Lake as part of their responsibility to curb criminal activities and kidnapping.

He requested from the State Government a documentation of the hospital given to the navy to enable them start work.
