GOV. UZODIMMA UNVEILS SIX ISOLATION AND TESTING CENTRES, WITH 28 AMBULANCES FOR COVID-19

Imo State Government says it has commenced the fumigation of markets and major public meeting places across the state to disinfect the areas.

Governor Hope Uzodinma disclosed this in Owerri while unveiling six isolation centres and a laboratory put in place to combat Coronavirus in the state. He noted that twenty eight ambulances with state of the art equipment have been positioned across the state to handle emergency situations.

Governor Uzodinma stated that his administration was working hard to ensure that the dreaded COVID-19 pandemic did not infiltrate the state and appealed to residents to comply with measures taken by government to tackle the disease.
                               
Governor Uzodinma said he was mindful of the hardship the people were facing as a result of the lockdown ordered by the government and gave an assurance that the measures would be reviewed at intervals to suit the demands of the time.

Meanwhile, the isolation centres are located in Owerri, Aboh-Mbaise, Okigwe and Orlu Local Government Areas of the state.
