GOV. UGWUANYI APPROVES REHABILITATION OF AMODU-AGBANI WATER SCHEME
As part of programmes to ensure the well being of the people and business in Enugu State, Governor Ifeanyi Ugwuanyi has approved four point eight million naira for the rehabilitation of the Amodu-Agbani water scheme in Nkanu West Local Government Area.
The Scheme is meant to serve water to the people of the council area, including the Eziaba autonomous community, Agbani , the Nigeria law school, Agbani Campus, Amodu-Okowo and Okpebe Amodu Autonomous communities.
The Enugu State Commissioner for Water Resources, Doctor Charles Egumgbe who stated this in Agbani, the council headquarters condemned the vandalism of the previous water scheme by suspected hoodlums.
Doctor Egumgbe encouraged community leaders, security operatives and other well meaning people of the area to protect utilities sited in their localities.
