WHY NEW CLOTHES FOR CHILDREN DURING CHRISTMAS?
One 
of the characteristics of Christmas period is the desire by people especially children to have new clothes and look beautiful.
The season is a time for re-union with family members, friends and well wishers.
It is also a moment for social activities and unwinning after the stress of a long year.
Most people are involved in outdoor events with their loved ones.
Among the children, the period is important and special in many ways, they are often seen clinching to their parents and care givers in beautiful attires.
More often than not, these clothes are brand new.
One then wonders why new clothes for children, when old ones are still good?
According to the Children, they feel glad seeing their parents come home with new things for celebration.
In an interview, the Parish Priest, Seat of Wisdom Parish, Housing Estate, Abakpa Nike Enugu, Reverend Father Issac Ogiwu advised that the season was a period to seek the face of Christ and show love to one another.
He urged parents to be wise on how they spent this period as a lot still needed their attention in the new year.
