FRSC TO PARTNER FRCN, PURITY FM IN SENSITIZING THE PUBLIC TO ROAD RULES AND REGULATIONS

The Federal Road Safety Corps (FRSC), Anambra State Command has assured motorists and commuters of safety during and after the Easter celebration.

Similarly, the command will continue to partner Radio Nigeria Purity FM Awka in sensitizing the public on safety rules and regulations.

The Sector Commander of FRSC, Mr. Andrew Kumapayi, stated this when the management of Purity FM Awka paid a courtesy call to his office.

According to the sector Commander, personnel of the command have been fully mobilised and deployed to strategic positions and routes across the state to ensure hitch free vehicular and human movement while the Easter season lasts.

He alerted residents of the state of greater visibility of the corps on major roads, which is aimed at reducing road crashes to the barest minimum.

Mr. kumapayi solicited the support of Radio Nigeria in the area of information dissemination, which would go a long way in educating road users on safety measures.

Earlier, the General Manager, Radio Nigeria Purity FM Awka, Mr. Uchenna Chukwuedo, extolled the existing relationship between the two federal agencies, promising to step up the tempo.

Mr. Chukwuedo said Radio Nigeria Purity FM would create programmes that would serve as a platform for the FRSC to sensitize the public and give situation report on traffic across the state.

The News Manager of the station, Mr. Chris Obileri, accompanied the General Manager on the visit.
