ENUGU STATE GOVERNMENT APPROVES FUND FOR THE VISIT EVERY COMMUNITY VEC IN THE STATE.

The Enugu State government has approved the release of the sum of five million out of ten million naira for the Visit Every Community, VEC projects in the State.

Briefing newsmen at Government House, the Head of VEC Directorate, Doctor Eric Oluedo who commended the State Governor for fulfilling his promise noted that the projects when commenced will not have interference of any Ministry or parastatal.

Dr Oluedo also asserted that the fund would  be released  to the community project management committee consisting of the traditional rulers and the President Generals who would be the signatories to the account.

Also speaking , the permanent secretary, Ministry of Chieftaincy Matters, Mrs. Chinwe Anibueze urged communities without a traditional ruler to elect one in order to avail themselves of the opportunity to benefit from the project.

The Chairman, Traditional Rulers Council Enugu State, Igwe Lawrence Agubuzu  described the development as a right step in the right direction.
