NATIONAL YOUTHS CORPS MEMBERS DEPLOYED TO ENUGU STATE ARE CHARGED TO PROMOTE NATIONAL INTEGRATION THROUGH THE SCHEME

The twenty seventeen National Youth Service Corps members deployed to Enugu State have been urged to be diligent and committed to championing national integration through the scheme.

The Enugu state Governor, Chief Ifeanyi Ugwuanyi made this known in a message during the swearing-in ceremony of the Batch B, stream one corps members at the NYSC orientation camp Awgu Local Government Area.

The Governor who was represented by the Commissioner for Youths and Sports, Mr. Josep Udedi said the scheme was fashioned to harness the creative and productive energies of the Nigerian youths.

He said that the NYSC scheme forms the integral path of National Development, hence corps members should maintain discipline in camp and participate  in all camp activities.

According to the State Coordinator of the scheme, Alhaji Ahmed Wada Ikaka , one thousand and eighty males and one thousand, one hundred and twenty female corps members were registered.

 

Corps members interviewed, Mr. Friday Abaghi, and Miss Amarachi Ezike expressed satisfaction with the exercise and pledged their commitment to the scheme.
