ENUGU NORTH PRAYS FOR PENSION ARREARS FOR PRIMARY AND SECONDARY SCHOOL TEACHERS FROM BAILOUT

NigeTeacherria Union of Teachers Enugu State Wing has called for the recruitment of qualified teachers to fill vacancies in the public primary and secondary schools in the area.
The chairman, Comrade Ozo Paul Nnaji who made the call during a prayer rally organized by the union at the teachers house, Enugu explained that the vacancies were as a result of retirement and death of some teaches.
Ozo Nnaji appealed to the state government to include primary school teachers in the payment of pension arrears and gratuity from the bailout fund and the release of the promotion interview conducted since 2013.

Earlier in a sermon, an Anglican Priest, venerable Arinze Egemba who spoke on the topic “putting God first in the discharge of their duties to enable God perform miracle in their lives.
Elucidating on the essence of the prayer, the Principal State Secretary of the Union, Comrade Sam Umo-Inyang said it was a way of asking for God’s intervention in the enormous task and challenges facing teaches in the new year.
Comrades Gloria Afamefuna and Ik Nnaji who were among those that participated in the prayer summit said it had afforded them opportunity to make their requests known to God.

Our Correspondent reports that some of the Executives of the union took turns to pray for their welfare and that of the nation.
