ENUGU STATE GOVERNOR’ S WIFE PRAYS FOR PEACE IN THE STATE.
The wife of the Enugu Governor, Mrs. Monica Ugwuanyi, has called on the women of Anglican Diocese of Enugu to continue to pray for peace and development of the state.
Mrs. Ugwuanyi, who spoke at a special church service for the women of the Diocese held at the Cathedral Church of the good Shepherd to conclude the four day prayer conference of the women stressed the importance of prayer in the nation.
The Governor’s wife, whose speech was summarized in Igbo language, called of the women to increase their love for one another and ensure that peace was enthroned in their homes and society.
In a sermon, the Archbishop of Enugu Ecclesiastical province, Church to Nigeria, Anglican Communion, the Most Reverend Emmanuel Chukwuma called on the women to depend on God for solution to their various challenges.
The Most Revened Chukwuma charged the women, to impact the lesson of the theme of the conference; Dwelling in His Presence in their daily engagements.
The president of the women in the diocese, Doctor Joyce Chukwuma spoke on the significance of the prayer convention.
Some of the women Mrs. Uche Agbim and Mrs. Chika Nwajagu who spoke with Radio Nigeria promised to impact the lessons learnt from the conference to the society.
