EID EL KABIR: POLICE ASSURE ABIA MUSLIM COMMUNITY OF SECURITY

The Police command in Abia State has assured residents of the area, especially the Moslem faithful of adequate security of their lives and property during and after the Eid El Kabir celebration.

In a statement issued by the Police Public Relations officer of the command, Mr. Maureen Chinaka, on behalf of the Commissioner of Police, Mr. Kenechukwu Onwuemelie, in Umuahia, it charged all Area Commanders and Divisional Police Officers to always exhibit professionalism and respect for human rights while discharging their duties

According to the statement, the command has deployed additional patrol teams to all nooks and crannies of the state, especially the prayer centers to ensure maximum security.

While wishing Muslim faithful in the state a happy Eid El Kabir celebration, the statement urged the people to always be security conscious and report any suspicious person to relevant authorities for prompt action.
