CORPS MEMBERS TOLD TO RESPECT CULTURE OF THEIR HOST-COMMUNITIES

Members of National Youth Service Corps posted to Imo State have been urged to respect the culture and tradition of their host communities to enhance peaceful co-existence.

The Director General of the Corps, Brigadier General Suleiman Kazaure gave the charge while addressing the two thousand and eighteen “Batch B” Corps members at the NYSC Orientation Camp in Eziama-Obaire, Nkwerre Local Government Area of Imo State.

Brigadier-General Kazaure warned against embarking on unauthorized journeys and advised them to take skills acquisition programmes in the camp seriously as arrangement had been put in place to assist corps members to set up their businesses after the service year.

Earlier, the new State Coordinator of the Scheme, Mr. Sunday Aroni said over two thousand corps members who were undergoing orientation at the camp had so far demonstrated discipline, dedication and commitment to serve.
