CONSTRUCTION OF NEW HAUSA QUARTERS AT NAZE, IMO STATE TO BE COMPLETED WITHIN 2WEEKS.
Imo State Government has announced the construction of new Hausa Quarters at Naze area within fourteen days.
Governor Rochas Okorocha made this known during the demolition of Ama Hausa.
The Governor who spoke through the Deputy Chief of Staff, Operations and Chairman, Bureau for Land, Chief Kingsley Uju appealed to the people affected, not to see the exercise as a ploy to punish them but a development aimed at restoring the glory of the State.
He called on traders affected by the demolition on the Douglas road to move to the new market at Egbeada.
In a reaction, the Leader of Hausa community in Imo State, Alhaji Hawai Babasuleiman said the State Government loved the people of Hausa extraction by providing a serene environment for their trading activities.
Alhaji Babasuleiman stated that they were happy with the urban renewal, noting that non of their property were lost or touched during t he demolition.
