REPORTER: CHRISTIAN NWANGENE

The Chairman, Christian Association of Nigeria (CAN), Enugu State Chapter, the Reverend Emmanuel Edeh, has urged Nigerians not to despair in the face of current security and socio-economic challenges confronting the country.

He urged them to continue to pray for God’s intervention and the unity of the nation.

The Reverend Edeh, who made the call in a Christmas message, noted that the significance of the birth of Jesus Christ was that of hope and redemption.

The Enugu State CAN Chairman stressed that the country needed improvement in every aspect, and encouraged Nigerians to continue to trust in God to lift the country out of the prevailing challenges.

While urging the well to do in the society to extend a helping hand to the less privileged, especially during Yuletide, the Reverend Edeh, prayed God to save humanity from the COVID-19 pandemic and end the virus, which had negatively impacted on the economy of many nations, including Nigeria.
