President Muhammadu Buhari has assured the people of Imo State of the commitment of his administration to assist the state to realize its dreams within the ambits of the constitution.

The President gave the assurance in Owerri while inaugurating some roads and erosion control tunnel projects executed by the Imo State Government.

He commended the Imo state Governor, Chief Hope Uzodimma, for aligning with the vision of the Federal Government, noting that provision of infrastructure and adequate security were key to the development of every society.

Imo State Governor, Chief Hope Uzodimma, said the two-point-five kilometer balloon-driven technology erosion control tunnel in Egbu Road, rehabilitation of Naze-Nekede-Ihiagwa Road, Owerri-Orlu-Egbeada Road Bypass and new Executive Council Chambers in government House were borne out his desire to ameliorate the sufferings of the people.

Governor Uzodimma thanked the President for his assistance, especially in containing security challenges that almost overwhelmed the state and gave an assurance that his administration would continue to deliver on its mandate.

The President, who was accompanied by members of the Federal Executive Council from the south east, later held a closed door meeting in Hovernment House Owerri with some stakeholders from the south east led by Governor of Ebonyi State, Chief Dave Umahi and the Deputy Governor of Abia State Mr. Ude Chukwu.
