ANAMBRA LAWMAKERS CONDEMN KILLINGS IN BENUE AND OTHER STATES
Anambra State House of Assembly has condemned the incessant killings in the country, especially the recent killing of two Catholic priests and other faithful in Benue State.
The lawmakers made the condemnation during a plenary session of the House in Awka.
The member representing Njikoka 1 Constituency, Dr. Timothy Ifedioranma, who expressed sadness over the ugly development in the country, called on the Federal Government to urgently arrest the situation before it could go out of hand.
Also contributing to the matter, the member representing Njikoka II Constituency, Dr. Peter Ibida, said the situation was getting worrisome and alarming.
The Speaker of the House, Mrs. Rita Maduagwu, challenged the Service Chiefs to be proactive in tackling the incessant killings in the country.
