POLICE PARADE SUSPECTED FAKE POLICE & ARMY OFFICERS IN ABIA

Two suspected fake army and police officers are now in Police net in Abia State.

Parading the suspects and other suspected criminals in Umuahia, the Commissioner of Police Mr. Anthony Ogbizi, said the fake officers, who came from Kano State, were arrested by his men while on patrol in Aba with military materials.

Mr. Ogbizi gave the names of the suspects as Abba Abdulahi and Kalifa Musa who claimed to be an Assistant Superintendent of Police.

He noted that the men were arrested at various locations through tip off.

Also arrested is one Friday Okwuchukwu from Enugu State, a suspected kidnapper, who according to the Police, in company of three others now at large, attempted to kidnap one Gift in Aba.

The Police also paraded a couple, Nkemakolam and Happiness Ugorji, from Olokoro Ajata in Umuahia South Local Government Area for allegedly selling their two day old baby girl for the sum of ₦300,000.00

In an interview, the two suspected fake officers, Kalifa Musa and Abba Abdulahi, denied being army and police officers claiming that they collected the handcuff, military carmouflage and teargas from their military and police friends at Ama Hausa area in Aba.

Also another suspect, Friday Okwuchukwu, admitted committing the crime stating it was a friend that lured him into the act.

Items allegedly recovered from the suspects include one English revolver pistol, one locally made gun, live ammunition, military camouflage, some mobile phones and handcuff.
