Radio Nigeria Pacesetter FM Umuahia has been commended for it’s quality news and program contents.

The Deputy Governor of Abia State, Mr. Udo Okochukwu, gave the commendation when he received the management team of Pacesetter FM in his Office in Umuahia. He urged the station to always ensure that it kept the flagship of broadcasting, which FRCN is known for through adequate coverage and balance reportage of events in the state.

The Deputy Governor however appealed to the Federal Government to come to the aid of the station by funding it adequately. He assured that Abia State Government would partner the station in resolving some of its challenges, especially that of public power supply.

Earlier, the General Manager, Pacesetter FM Umuahia, Mr. Uche Ndukwe, while thanking the Deputy Governor for welcoming them in his office, noted that despite being a Federal Government broadcasting station, Pacesetter FM was established to serve the people of the state and government with balanced and accurate reportage of events and activities in the state.

Mr. Ndukwe listed some of challenges confronting the station. They include lack of public power supply, generating set and utility vehicle to carry out its activities effectively.
