24 YEAR OLD MAN IN COURT FOR AN ALLEGED 10 THEFT

Police in Ebonyi State have arraigned a twenty four year old man, Fredrick Ojo before an Abakaliki Magistrate Court for allegedly stealing ten naira at Saint Mulumba Catholic Church Abakaliki.

The suspect was arraigned on a one count charge of stealing, punishable under section 390 of the Criminal Code Cap 33 Vol 1 Laws of Ebonyi State.

The Prosecution Officer, Mr Ramsome Egenkonye told the court that the suspect stole the ten naira from a purse left on a seat by one Daniel who went to give offering during the church service.

The Presiding Magistrate Ngozika Ngele remanded the suspect in prison custody after he pleaded not guilty to the charge while the case was adjourned to twenty ninth of June, 2018.

Radio Nigeria gathered from Police Public Relations Officer in the State, Mrs Loveth Oda that the suspect roamed into the State from Otukpo Local Government Area of Benue State.
