MUSLIMS URGED TO SHUN ACTS CAPABLE OF PROMOTING DISUNITY
Abia State Governor, Chief Okezie Ikpeazu has urged Muslims to propagate the gospel of peace which Islamic religion preaches.
The Governor made this known while hosting muslim community in the state as part of activities to mark Eid-el-Kabir celebration at Government House, Umuahia.
The Governor who was represented by the Deputy Governor, Mr. UdeOkechukwu re-emphasized the need for the faithful to adhere to the teachings of Prophet Mohammed which is centered on obedience and love.
Governor Ikpeazu while congratulating the muslim faithful for a successful and peaceful sallah celebration, urged them to shun acts that may bring disunity and crisis in the country.
Responding, the Leader of the muslim community, Alhaji Musa Iheakaram thanked the Governor for the gesture and assured him of their support to his administration.
