CONSTRUCTION OF 136 SCHOOL PROJECTS INAUGURATED IN ABIA STATE

Governoabiar Okezie Ikpeazu of Abia State has inaugurated the construction of one hundred and thirty-six school building projects across the area.
The projects include four new model schools, each comprising ten classroom blocks, library, laboratory, teachers quarters and sickbay.

Also five secondary and three primary school classroom blocks are to be built with solar powered water borehole, perimeter fence and headmaster quarters.

According to a statement by the Chief Press Secretary to the Governor, Mr. EnyinnayaAppolos, the massive educational infrastructure improvement projects would be executed through the Abia State Universal Basic Education Board, ASUBEB and would be completed by the second quarter of next year.

It advised Management of the ASUBEB, to ensure that every detail of the project was adhered to, stressing that the state government would not tolerate any substandard job as it has set up a special monitoring unit to supervise the projects.
