FG declears Monday as public holiday
The Federal Government has declared Monday, May 2, 2016 as public holiday to commemorate Workers’ Day celebration which falls on Sunday May 1st. The Minister of Interior, Abdulrahman Dambazau, announced this on Thursday in a statement released and signed by the Permanent Secretary, Ministryof Interior, Bassey Akpanyung. The day is marked annually to show solidarity with workers globally.
