ZONAL DIRECTOR, SOUTH EAST ZONE INAUGURATES 2016 MERIT AWARD COMMITTEE

OUTSTANDING employees of Radio Nigeria South East Zone have a reason not to rest on their oars as information managers. This is because such employees who excel in their chosen profession will receive their reward in their duty post here on earth.

Zonal Director, Ike Okere strengthened the morale of workers on the job, when he inaugurated a ten man planning committee for Radio Nigeria South East Zonal Special Merit Award 2016 in the Conference room of the station’s headquarters, Enugu, with a firm promise to handsomely reward employees who go the extra mile to enhance the accomplishment of corporate goals and objectives.

He explained that the overriding aims of the awards are to recognize, reward and celebrate outstanding employees of the Zone who demonstrate creativity, exemplary performance, provide exceptional contributions and/ or model excellent service to the corporation.

He charged the committee to draw up the criteria for the award and recommend appropriate prizes for the star performers. The Committee has an umbrella responsibility under “Radio Nigeria Enugu week 2016”, with Sir Ken Ene, Deputy Director Marketing as Chairman, while Dr Anthony Okofu, Head, Corporate Development, Research and Statistics heads the organising committee of the merit award.

The Radio Nigeria Enugu week 2016, intend to reward employees in Core broadcasting and support services, and honour personalities who had supported the zone to remain afloat in her trying times. Management staff who had retired from service in the recent past will also be appreciated during the event.

Mr Okere appealed to friends of the station, philanthropists and businessmen to support this worthy project in appreciation of excellence.

Accepting the responsibility, Sir Ene, speaking on behalf of the committee, thanked the ZD for the task and promised to recommend appropriate reward for deserving staff who will make up the list.

The event comes up in the third week of July 2016, to be held at the prestigious Radio Nigeria sam Nwaneri Event Centre, Off Constitution Road, GRA Enugu.
