FG TO UNLOCK THE SOCIO-ECONOMIC POTENTIAL OF ABA
Abia State Government has expressed happiness with the Federal Government’s interest in providing sustainable energy for Aba to boost the capacity of entrepreneurs in the city.
Governor Okezie Ikpeazu stated this at Governor’s Lodge, Aba, when he received the Managing Director, Rural Electrification Agency of Nigeria, Mrs. Damilola Ogunbiyi.
He said roads and electricity was critical in unlocking the socio-economic potential of Aba, the commercial nerve centre of the State.
The Managing Director, Rural Electrification Agency of Nigeria, Mrs. Damilola Ogunbiyi said she was in the state to access the ongoing pilot programme of providing sustainable power for Ariaria Market.
She explained that the power project would run on sustainable, compressed natural gas solution, noting that it would solve the problem of hazardous smoke from generators.
