SOUTH EAST LAWMAKERS URGED TO CHAMPION THE REHABILITATION OF ENUGU-ONITSHA EXPRESS WAY

a State House of Assembly has passed a resolution urging the Federal Government to commence the rehabilitation of Enugu-Onitsha Express way.
The resolution was passed during the Plenary Session of the House in Awka.
The Sponsor of the motion and member representing Nnewi South One Constituency, Mr. Kingsley Iruba noted that the bad condition of the road had caused untold hardship to the people of South East and other road users.
Contributing to the motion, the member representing Orumba North Constituency, Mr. Romanus Obi observed that frequent accidents on the t road had claimed many lives and also hampered socio-economic activities of the zone.
The Deputy Speaker of the House, Mr. Harford Oseke who presided over the sitting called on the National Assembly members from the zone to rise to the occasion by ensuring that the road was rehabilitated.
