FEB 25 POLLS: NPF DEPLOYS AIG, 3 CPs TO ANAMBRA.

Ahead of Saturdays Presidential and National Assembly elections, the Nigeria Police Force has deployed a new Assistant Inspector General of Police to Zone 13 Ukpo Anambra State.

He is Mr. Friday Egboka.

Also three new Commissioners of Police have been deployed to the state to monitor the election.

The Assistant Inspector-General of Police (AIG), Mr. Egboka, before his posting as the election supervisor of Zone 13, comprising Anambra and Enugu Commands, was the AIG in charge of Zone 16.

He shall supervise the three Commissioners of Police deployed to the three Senatorial Districts of the state, including the Commissioner of Police Anambra State Police Command, Echeng Echeng, for the 2023 General Elections.

A statement by the Police Public Relations Officer (PPRO) Anambra State Command, Mr. Tochukwu Ikenga, says the Commissioners included Mr. Yusuf Apaji for Anambra North, Mr. Julius Okoro for Anambra South and Selem Amachere for Anambra Central while Mr. Echeng Echeng is the coordinating Commissioner for the State.

The statement, therefore, urged the people of the State to come out en- masse to exercise their franchise and vote for candidates of their choice as adequate deployments had been made to ensure that elections were peaceful, hitch-free and secured.

The statement also enjoined the people to call the Command Control Room Number/Situation room number 07039194332 or the PPRO on 08039334002, to request any security services, especially on election day.
