SOLUDO INSPECTS ROAD PROJECTS IN OKPOKO, PLEDGES IMPROVED INFRASTRUCTURE

Governor Chukwuma Soludo of Anambra State has expressed satisfaction with the ongoing asphalting of the Okpoko-Obodoukwu Road and Ojoto Street Okpoko in Ogbaru Local Government Area of the state.

Governor Soludo made this known during an on-the-spot inspection visit to Okpoko to assess the progress of the ongoing road projects.

Governor Soludo while speaking to the residents, reiterated plans to construct 14 kilometers of roads within Okpoko axis and promised they would see significant improvements by the end of next week.

The Governor, who emphasized his administration’s commitment to give the area a facelift, also revealed plans of his government to provide pipe-borne water, general hospital and improved street lightening in the area.

During the visit, the Governor ordered the removal of an illegally constructed perimeter fence obstructing pedestrian walkways at a market to guarantee the safety of pedestrians.

The Governor further reassured residents that the ongoing teacher recruitment process would benefit public schools in Okpoko, with additional teachers and improved learning facilities.

Also, the Special Adviser to the Governor on Markets, Chief Evarist Ubah, extolled Governor Soludo’s efforts and determination to improve infrastructure and address the needs of Okpoko residents.

The Governor was accompanied by a delegation of state officials, including the Commissioner for Works, Mr. Ifeanyi Okoma
