MULTIPLE ROAD CRASH CLAIMS 6 LIVES IN EBONYI

A multiple road crash that occurred at Onueke axis of the Abakaliki -Afikpo Highway has claimed six lives, including that of a woman.
The Sector Commander Federal Road Safety Corps, Ebonyi State Command, Mr. Anthony Okorie, told Radio Nigeria that the accident involved a commercial Hiace bus and two trucks.
He pointed out that four of the victims died instantly while two others gave up the ghost while being rushed to the hospital.
Mr. Okorie said investigations were on to ascertain the cause of the accident while the remains of the six victims had been deposited in a mortuary at Alex Ekwueme Federal University Teaching Hospital Abakaliki.
