Imo State Governor, Senator Hope Uzodimma, has dissolved members of his cabinet.

This is coming a day after he assumed office for his second tenure.

He made the announcement during a meeting with members of Expanded Executive Council at Sam Mbakwe Chambers Government House Owerri.

He thanked the members for their commitment, resilience and hard work which he said enabled him to succeed in his first tenure.

The Governor said that he would embark on rehabilitation of public schools, create digital economy for youths and intensify war against insecurity.

“I have worked with you for four years, I don’t need any body to tell me who any body here is. I know your various capacities and I know where if you are placed that you will do well. There are currently people serving at the state level that I know if I send them to local government they will do better.”

“In order to ensure we maximize the opportunity of various capacities in our mist, we will try to do some samples in and samples out.

“Am encouraged that so far from the responses we are getting out there I don’t think I have disappointed Imo people.”

Governor Uzodimma promised not to abandon those who served in various capacities during his first tenure and expressed optimism that his second tenure in office would create a New Imo, devoid of corruption and nonchalant attitude to duties.

He apologised for his short comings, especially failing to meet with some of the stakeholders in the state, a situation he attributed to insecurity and COVID-19 during his first tenure and promised a better working relationship.
