GOV OTTI INAUGURATES THREE ROADS IN ABA

Governor Alex Otti has inaugurated three newly reconstructed roads in Aba, the commercial hub of Abia State.
They are Emelogu road, Shallom road and Cemetery road phase 1, and all of them have solar powered street lights.
Speaking at the inauguration, Governor Alex Otti restated the commitment of his administration to invest hugely on road infrastructure as good road network would enhance economic development.
The Governor, who pledged to maintain the confidence the people reposed in him by develop Aba in line with his campaign promises, assured that his government would end the activities of touts in the markets.
The Governor who said the popular Cemetery Market Road had not been used for over 20 years, stressed that what Aba needed was to open it up with good infrastructure and enabling environment that would support the social and economic lives of the people.
Earlier, the Commissioner for Works in the state, Mr. Don Oti, said the present administration in the state prioritized road infrastructure to improve on the economic growth and development.
The Commissioner called on road users to reciprocate government’s gesture by taking responsibility of keeping the roads free from refuse and drainage blockages.
In their separate speeches, the President Aba Chamber of Commerce, Industry, Mines and Agriculture, (ACCIMA), Chief Jerry Kalu; a resident of Emelogu road, Mr. Uche Okafor; among others, commended Governor Alex Otti for fixing the roads.
