BLACK TUESDAY AS GUNMEN MURDER SECURITY OPERATIVES IN IMO COMMUNITY

Imo State Governor, Chief Hope Uzodimma, has expressed shock over the gruesome murder of some security agents who were on patrol at Umuezeala Onwere Community in Ehime Mbano Local Government Area of the state.
The security agents were said to be members of Search and Flush Team, a combined security outfit in the state made up of soldiers and personnel of the Nigeria Police Force.
They were on patrol before they were ambushed, killed and burnt alongside two of their patrol pick-up vans.
According to reports, the incident happened at about 10 a.m on Tuesday.
Chief Uzodimma, who visited the scene of the attack with the state Commissioner of Police, prayed God to console the families of deseased while promising government would look into the matter.
Chief Uzodimma appealed to the people to give useful information that would lead to the arrest of the criminals so as to face the full wrath of the law.
As at the time of filing this report, the Police Public Relations Officer in Imo State, Mr. Henry Okoye, said he was yet to ascertain the casualty figure.
