POLICE VOW TO DEAL WITH CULTISTS IN AWKA

The Police Commissioner in Anambra State, Mr. Aderemi Adeoye, has vowed to clamp down on cultists running amok in Awka the state capital..

The Commissioner, who described the cultists as murderers, said they were not fit to live among decent human beings in the society.

He also described those sponsoring them to kill their fellow human beings as cowards who should cover their faces in shame.

In a statement, the Police Public Relations Officer of the command, Mr. Tochukwu Ikenga, said the Police Commissioner warned that no one should call him to release any of the cultists arrested in the coming clamp down.

The statement said Mr. Adeoye had ordered an all out operation against cultists and their sponsors in the State.

It assurrd the people of the State that their peace that was punctured by the recent cult-related killings in the capital would soon be restored.
