CREATIVE TALENTS ARE LEAVING NIGERIA BECAUSE OF POOR ENABLING ENVIRONMENT — EXPERT LAMENTS

REPORTER: JOHN MADUAGWU

A financial expert, Mr. Paddy Anyatonwu, has advised in-coming leaders at various levels of governance in Nigeria to create the enabling environment for citizens to harness their creative and innovative capabilities.

Mr. Anyatonwu gave the advice while speaking with Radio Nigeria on the 2023 World Creativity and Innovation Day, with the theme “step out and innovate.”

The World Creativity and Innovation Day is celebrated annually on April 21 to encourage people all over the world to get creative.

Mr. Anyatonwu said Nigeria is blessed with many creative and innovative minds, who unfortunately do not have the opportunities to fully showcase their endowments.

He called on the elected representatives, who would be taking over power in May to be creative, appoint like-minded people into positions and pave the way for ordinary Nigerians to harness their innovative potentials, which would in turn benefit the society.

The financial expert expressed regret that due to failure to create enabling environment, many talented Nigerians in various fields of endeavor had left for western countries where they had been making a lot positive impact.
