SOLUDO INCREASES WORKERS SALARY BY 10%, GIVES #15,000 CHRISTMAS BONUS

Governor Chukwuma Soludo has announced a 10% wage increment for all civil servants in the state beginning from January, 2023.

The Governor made the announcement during the 2022 Public Service Day Celebration held at the State Secretariat, Awka.

The public service day is a period to take stock and acknowledge the pivotal role of the service as the main engine of governance and development in the state.

It is also a time to recognize and reward hard work and excellence in people who distinguish themselves in the line of duty.

Governor Soludo applauded the civil servants for voting him into office and extolled their contributions towards the progress of the state.

He pointed out that the 10% wage increment for civil servants and the #15,000.00 Christmas package were to motivate them for more productivity.

The Governor, while reassuring them of his administration’s commitment towards achieving its five cardinal pillars, reiterated that prudent management of the state resources remained his watchword.

In a speech, the Head of service of the state, Mrs. Theodora Igwegbe, highlighted the performance of the present administration in the state, the challenges confronting civil servants and the need for public service reform to improve productivity and quicken service delivery.

The event feartured presentation of certificates to deserving public servants, cutting of cake among others.
