IGP GIVES OVER #25 MILLION TO FAMILIES OF DECEASED & INJURED POLICEMEN IN ABIA

The Inspector General of Police (IGP), Usman Alkali-Baba has presented cheques worth over twenty five million naira to the families or next of kins of seven deceased police officers and three others that sustained life threatening injuries in their line of duties in Umuahia Abia state.
Presenting the cheque on behalf of the IGP, the Commissioner of Police Abia State, Mr. Mustapha Bala, represented by the Deputy Commissioner of Police Administration, Mr. Chukwuma Ihebum, consoled the beneficiaries on the loss of their loved ones and urged them to make proper use of the money.
He stated that the police would continue to identify with the families of officers, who died or sustained life threatening injuries, while carrying out their duties.
The beneficiaries in their response thanked the Inspector General of Police for the gesture and pledged to make proper use of the money.
