GOV IKPEAZU REWARDS THREE TEACHERS WITH CARS

About three teachers in public schools in Abia State have been presented with cars gifts for exemplary behaviour and dedication to duties.

Presenting the car keys to the recipients in Umuahia, Governor Okezie Ikpeazu said the teachers were recognised due to their efficient service delivery in teaching and learning.

Governor Ikpeazu, who was represented by his Chief of Staff, Chief Okey Ahaiwe, said the car gifts would boost their morale and encourage them to do more for their pupils and students

Governor Ikpeazu, who maintained that education remained top priority for the government, said it was one of the government’s five pillars of development agenda used in facilitating socio-economic growth in the state.

He assured that the state government would continue to evolve programmes and policies that would transform the education sector through such motivation and other welfare packages for the teachers.

The recipients, Mr. Agatha Ogbonnaya, a teacher of Umunneato Nomadic School, Okoko Item in Bende Local Government Area; Mr. Bright Wogu of Central School Obohia in Ukwa East Local Government Area; and Mr. Friday Madu of Obinolu Secondary Technical School Isuochi in Umunneochi Local Government Area were presented with two Toyota Camry cars and a Toyota Corolla car all thanked Governor Okezie Ikpeazu for the guesture.
