CHRISTMAS JOY: AS EMEKA OFFOR BUILTS 12 HOUSES FOR WIDOWS, DISTRIBUTES 50 KG BAGS TO RICE TO OVER 2,000 OTHERS

Twelve widows in Orifite Community, Ekwusigo Local Government Area of Anambra State have received a bungalow each from Sir Emeka Offor Foundation.
The foundation also gave out a bag of fifty kg rice and a wrapper each to over two thousand widows from the state for their Christmas and New Year celebrations.
Speaking during the event held in Orifite Community, the benefactor and renowned philanthropist, Sir Emeka Offor, said he was moved by God to assist the widows to reduce their sufferings and poverty status.
He also pledged to build fifty houses for more widows and increase their monthly stipends because of the current hyper inflation in the country.
Anambra State Governor, Professor Chukwuma Soludo, commended Sir Emeka Offor for extending love to poor widows.
The Governor, who was represented by the Commissioner for Women Affairs and Social Welfare, Mrs. Ifenyinwa Obinabor, advised the widows not to indulge in ungodly acts because of their condition, and urging them not to allow their children to engage in criminal activities.
Two of the beneficiaries, Mrs. Constance Izuka and Ifenyinwa Ilodibe thanked Sir Emeka Offor for caring for them and prayed God to sustain him with long life and good health.
The Co-ordinator, Sir Emeka Offor Foundation, Mr Anthony Obi, announced plans by the foundation to engage the widows in skills acquisition to enable them to become self-reliant.
Goodwill messages were received from some eminent Nigerians on the occasion.
