GOV UMAHI TO EMPLOY 2,600 LIAISON OFFICERS

Governor David Umahi of Ebonyi State is to appoint 2,600 liaison officers in the state.
The Governor announced this during a church service in Abakaliki.
He noted that half of the number would be deployed to the 13 Local Government Areas while the rest would serve in the state.
Chief Umahi announced that the appointment was targeted at improving rural integration in the governance of the state and announced that about 1,000 persons had secured employment in David Umahi University of Health Sciences Uburu.
He explained that plans were underway to pay up all outstanding gratuities and pensions of retirees before the end of his administration while there would be approval for the promotion and conversion of local government workers.
