GOV SOLUDO ASSESSES CONDITION OF ROADS IN AWKA, NNEWI

Governor Chukwuma Soludo of Anambra State has commenced a tour of some critical road networks within Awka capital city with a view to rehabilitating bad sections.

This is in fulfilment of his campaign promise of massive construction of roads in the state.

The roads toured included Goodwill- Nodu-Okpuno-CBN road, Roban road, in Awka South Local Government Area; and Ifite-Isuaniocha roads in Awka North Local Government Area.

The Governor also visited Okofia Otolo in Nnewi North Council Area.

Speaking during the visit, Governor Soludo promised to rehabilitate and construct durable roads to boost and impact on the economic lives of the people of the state.

Some residents of the areas visited, in wild jubilation, applauded Governor Soludo for taking the bold initiative to have a first hand assessment of the roads.

Recall that the Governor had earlier said that his government was committed to inaugurating over 220 kilometers of roads before the end of 2022.
