EID EL MAULUD: UMAHI SOLUDO CALL FOR DEEPER REFLECTION AMONG MUSLIMS

Governor David Umahi of Ebonyi State has felicitated the Muslim faithful across the world as they celebrate Eid-el-Maulud, which marks the birth of Prophet Muhammed.

A statement by his Special Assistant on Media, Mr. Chooks Oko, described Eid el Maulud as a period of rejuvenation and revaluation of love and peaceful coexistence among all human beings.

The statement noted that it was a period of soul searching and enjoined the faithful to use the period to pray for the coexistence of the country.

“It is the marking of the birthday of a most great personality that stands for love, peace and tolerance and as such should be a period for us to ask ourselves if we are living according to his dictates.

“As you celebrate, do so in happiness with a resolve to be closer to the Almighty in words and deeds” he admonished.

Governor Umahi wished them impactful celebrations in strict adherence to the Holy book.

Similarly, Anambra State Governor, Professor Chukwuma Soludo, has congratulated the Muslim faithful as they celebrate Eid-el-Maulud .

The Governor made this known in a statement by his Chief Press Secretary, Mr. Christian Aburime.

Professor Soludo, who noted that the celebration marked the birth of Prophet Muhammed, called for deep reflection on the exemplary life of the holy Prophet and his message of love, peace, tolerance and justice.

He also used the occasion to call on the people of Anambra State to join hands with his administration to build a liveable and prosperous homeland by promoting law and order at all times.
