EBONYI STATE GOVT PLANS TO PROPOSE #139.3 BUDGET FOR 2023

Ebonyi State Government says it will propose #139.3 billion as its 2023 budget estimate.

Governor David Umahi announced this at the 2023 Budget Estimate Citizens Input at Ecumenical Centre Abakaliki.

He explained that 41.67% of the budget would be implemented by his administration while the incoming administration would spend 58.33%

Chief Umahi said from the budget, he would engage between 1,500 persons as Liaison officers, who would be paid #10,000.00 each.

The Commissioner for Finance in the state, Mr. Orlando Nweze, said the budget was christened Divine Mandate Consolidation and had #57 fifty billion as it’s recurrent expenditure while #81 billion was for capital expenditure.

Representatives of Civil Society Organisations took turn to endorse the Budget Estimate.
