EBONYI LP SENATORIAL CANDIDATE ABDUCTED

The Labour Party (LP) candidate for Ebonyi South Senatorial zone in the 2023 General Election, Chief Linus Okorie, has allegedly been abducted by known gunmen.

A statement circulated online by his Foundation, Caring Heart and signed by one Dr. David Ogbonna, explained that Chief Okorie was abducted on his way to Abakaliki from his hometown in Onitcha Local Government Area.

It further explained that available information indicated that he had been severely tortured by his alleged abductors.

According to the statement, a professional tracking of his lines indicated that his phone was within Ogoja Road Abakaliki while the second line was located at Ebun nwana Edda.

When contacted, the Police Public Relations Officer in the state, Mr. Chris Anyanwu, said he had no official reaction to the allegation as the incident had not been reported to the police by any of his relations or an eyewitness pointing out that the Command could not act on information flying online.
